1.- They're Laid Back
Family sessions with me are something to be cherished. Think of having a coffee with an old friend. We’ll chat, laugh, share stories and all the while capture you with your beautiful family, simply spending time together. Love is captured in so many ways. The way you watch your children play, a sneaky kiss on the cheek, jumping of off the dunes with your wild ones. Strolling along the beach and stealing a glance at your partner, collecting shells, jumping off rocks, watching for dolphins in the bay. You will honestly forget your even having a photography session as I mix some gentle posing with natural authentic moments to freeze your families’ memories in a warm and emotive way.
2- They're Child Led
Yes absolutely, they can be as wild and crazy as they like. Please let go of the expectations that your children must be on their best behaviour. Mine, never are. Not for me anyway. They don’t listen, they run around like crazy Ninjas, and they get filthy dirty. I would expect nothing less from your little ones. In my family sessions we let kids be kids and we let them lead. We explore with them, play with them. Instead of thinking of this as a family photography session, think of it as memory making and quality time with your family, just being. We’re only young once, lets capture that!
They're also a chance for you mum.
As a mum myself, I don’t get enough photographs with my children and gosh don’t they grow so fast. So, I make SURE you get some with yours. That cuddle, joke, cry, little snort, or the roaring laughter. Your bonds with your kids so you can remind them just how much they were loved as they grow. So don't be afraid to let go and just be with your kids. Jump off those sand dunes with them, look for crabs, give them that piggyback ride. However, you normally spend time with your little ones is exactly what you should do here. These are also for you mum, and one day when they tell you, they no longer need you for something, or they're too cool to hold your hand, you want to always remember these moments as a gentle reminder that they love you, despite their growing independence, with everything they have.
