How far in advance should I book my Family session?
I advise Booking at least 3-4 months in advance. Return and exisiting clients receive this opportunity when their galleries are delivered. In 2025 Claire Frances Photography was booked out by June.
Jervis Bay is also a very popular destination for family photography and spots are limited to ensure quality and excellence from start to finish.
Booking in advance gives you peace of mind, plenty of time to prepare and ask any questions you may have along the way.
How do I book a Family photography session?
Booking a photography session is easy. Simply book through the websites online booking form. I will then be in touch within 24 hours to discuss the details of your enquiry or booking request.
Can We have our photos in the Booderee National Park?
Yes! Claire Frances is the only Photographer in the Shoalhaven Region with an annual commercial photography permit for the Booderee National Park. Meaning it's both legal and Ethical to be photographed by Claire Frances Photography in the National Park, here in Jervis Bay.
Can we choose Our Location?
We choose the location together! We can do iconic beach family photos Jervis Bay style, or explore a bushland trail. As a South Coast family photographer who also serves clients from family photographer Nowra to Vincentia, I have a long list of beautiful, Tried and tested locations.
How long does a typical photo session last?
The duration of a photo session varies depending on the type and scope of the project. Family Portrait sessions typically range from 1 to 2 hours. I strive to provide ample time to capture all the important moments and ensure you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos.
You'll receive a sneak peek of 3-5 edited photos alongside your unedited 'Photos for Selection' within 36 hours. Once you have selected your favourites from this selection your contracted wait time of 5 weeks begins.
I will always prioritise quality and attention to detail to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations.
What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?
In the week leading up to your session I Will begin to watch the weather. We will go ahead unless the winds are dangerous and or the rain is torrential. If otherwise I will try and move us to a location protected from the winds.
If we need to reschedule we will do so within a 2 week period and this will be confirmed 48-24 hours prior when the weather predictions are most accurate.
Claire Frances Photography will not reschedule solely due to lack of sunshine.
What if my children are shy or "too wild"?
Please don't worry! As the relaxed family photographer Shoalhaven locals recommend, I embrace the chaos and am patient with quieter children. My sessions are built for play, and those candid, unscripted moments are often the most beautiful.
